The Difference Between Rebiana and Stevia
Stevia has been used safely as a sweetener for decades. But “generic” stevia is a mixture of many components of the stevia leaf, including those that do not give a sweet taste. The quality and composition vary. Because of that variation and inconsistency in composition, studies of this crude mixture are difficult to interpret for health and safety implications. Rebiana, by contrast, is a well-defined, high-purity product composed of 97% rebaudioside A. The remaining 3% of the product consists of other steviol glycosides. Therefore, rebiana’s quality and composition can be assured – that means, whether you’re studying it or consuming it, you know exactly what’s in it.
